Here’s this week’s round up of smoothies and other yummy foods that the Boyf has delivered to me in the last 7 days! Things may be shaken up a bit in future as we are testing out to see how I get on with intermittent fasting.
So today’s @ayegardening prompt of Feature was proving to be a bit of a struggle until the Boyf suggested I use his Bombay potato as the “raw materials” for my other challenge (#marchmeetthemaker) So I decided to “feature” his cooking skills! Well it seems like it’s all about the green theme today if this and @ionabfit’s smoothies are anything to go by! Mine’s all about the fat! Avocado, coconut, cherries, protein with greens powder (blurrgh) and grated 85% dark chocolate. Added some banana flavouring to get rid of the greens taste. Are you powered by green? The perfect Spring-time colour, no?
No smoothie today, instead the Boyf has been filling the house with distracting smells as he works on some meal prep! These little lovelies are for tomorrow and Friday to get us race ready! As he put it ….. “Today’s smoothie is a bit different. It’s a solid smoothie, cooked until brown and crispy. Pre-race nutrition.” So I guess it’s nearly #waffletime Do you have a race prep ritual or go to food?
Morning All! I’m shaking things up a bit this week to see if I can trim a few pounds and see if it helps my over-heating issues when I run. The Boyf is running the show and we’re giving intermittent fasting a go….so this morning’s smoothie is high fat with fibrous carbs to minimise my insulin response.
